Learning Commons (Tobata Main Building)

"Commons" refers to a place where people gather and discuss. At the Kyushu Institute of Technology Library, the Learning Commons is defined as "a shared space where everyone gathers for independent learning."
It can be used for classes, events, presentations, and discussions, as well as for self-study using computers and AV equipment. Library student Supporters also provide help with coursework and assistance with using the facilities. Please try to find ways to use it that suit you as a space for active and collaborative learning.
Equipments
Projectors, screens, 9 whiteboards, 1 wireless microphone/portable speaker, 1 large 60-inch TV (BS accessible, Blu-ray disc player)
Available Hours
Follow the opening hours of the Library.
Please make sure to complete cleanup within the opening hours.
How to Use / Application
If you plan to use part of the space for a class or event, please make a reservation via Reserve a Study Space by the day before use. If no reservation is made, you are free to use it.
Guidelines for Use
Use only for education, research, or learning purposes.
Loud or disruptive behavior is not permitted.r.
Beverages are allowed only in containers with lids, such as plastic bottles. Food is not permitted.

Library Student Supporters

In the Group Learning Area, library student supporters assist your library use.
Fourth-year undergraduate students and graduate students at Kyutech provide advice based on their own learning experiences and specialized fields. They help you search for library resources and academic papers using OPAC and databases. They provide instruction on basic PC operations as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software.
